​Youth For Jesus (Y4J)

Mission Statement: Youth for Jesus is a ministry designed to engage middle school students grades 6-8 in Fun Bible study, fellowship in games and recreation, and of course food! We are preparing a new generation to rise up and take their place in our community as Ambassadors for Christ. "One generation will commend your works to another; they will speak of your mighty acts." Ps.145:4 Y4J meets monthly on the Patten Academy campus - Fridays from 3:30-5:00 pm. 

​This middle school ministry leaders are Louis and Yvette Aguilar. Louis and Yvette are longtime members of Christian Cathedral as well as graduates of Patten University. Louis holds a BA in Pastoral Studies and Yvette has BA in Christian Education and an MA in Curriculum Design. Louis serves on the Christian Cathedral Church Council and Yvette is a full-time middle school teacher at Patten Academy and is also a member of the worship team and choir. They have one son, Aaron, who is a graduate of Patten Academy and is a Senior at Patten University.  Aaron plays trumpet in Christian Cathedral’s orchestra (Patten Symphonette) and serves in children's ministry. The entire family has a heart for service for the Lord and for children and youth ministry.
